I’m excited to announce that the American Medical Association (AMA) is now featuring DocsWithDisabilities (DWD) resources on their platform. This is a significant step forward in disability inclusion within healthcare, exposing our resources to a new audience of medical professionals.
The Docs With Disabilities Initiative (DWDI) uses research, education, and storytelling to change perceptions and shape disability policy and procedures in health professions, biomedical, and science education. We are committed to embracing and supporting the diversity of identities that our team and community bring to these experiences.
Our goal is to create more inclusive educational environments for trainees with disabilities and to increase the representation of disabled clinicians and scientists in the biomedical workforce. As part of this effort, we’ve developed short videos specifically for physicians and healthcare professionals—whether they have disabilities themselves or work with disabled individuals. These educational resources are now featured on the AMA Ed Hub.
You can explore the DocsWithDisabilities resources and learn more here: DocsWithDisabilities AMA Platform.
Thank you for your continued support in driving this important work forward!
Best regards,
